[IWWEF 2023] Indonesia Water and Waste Water Expo and Forum

In Indonesia, there is a water utility company called “PIDAM.” “PERPAMSI” is the Indonesian Water Supply Association established to address water issues at a national level through knowledge sharing and collaboration among the 50 PDAMs (water utility companies) that were operating independently since 1972.

IWWEF 2023, held from June 6th to 8th at the Bidakara Hotel in Jakarta, is a national-scale water event organized by PERPAMSI every two years. The purpose of this event is to provide a platform for key speakers and stakeholders in the water sector to discuss the challenges and directions for water supply agencies. Each year, IWWEF attracts more than 5,000 visitors, including local water industry companies, local and foreign investors, and stakeholders. The exhibition featured not only Indonesian companies but also participants from China, Thailand, Malaysia, and other countries, making it a significant showcase.

Indonesia serves as a key overseas business hub for WI.Plat, with a local official agent called SUPRA International. WI.Plat operated a booth together with SUPRA at the event, and over 50 PDAM representatives visited the WI.Plat booth. Among them, discussions were held with several PIDAMs regarding the implementation of systems or projects related to water leak management. Furthermore, with the upcoming CTS SEED2 program in Indonesia, this exhibition provided a great opportunity to showcase WI.Plat’s initiatives in Indonesia in 2023.
