Strategic Approach and Implementation

WI.Plat’s NELOW system, an AI-driven water management solution, was at the core of this project. The implementation process involved:

  • A comprehensive pipe network investigation and assessment.
  • The deployment of the NELOW system to monitor and manage the water network.
  • Capacity building for 20 local engineers in utilizing the NELOW system for effective water loss management.
  • Systematic water leak inspections and detections conducted by the newly trained local engineers.
  • Water leak recovery operations carried out by a local company, reinforcing the project’s commitment to community engagement and empowerment.

Sustainable Development and Local Empowerment

The project yielded significant results:

  • A total of 40 leak points were detected and subsequently repaired.
  • These efforts culminated in annual water savings of 547,000 tons
  • The project’s success translated into the provision of additional clean water resources for approximately 6,000 people, based on the daily usage rate of 0.25 tons per person.

One of the most noteworthy outcomes was the capacity building of local engineers. This initiative not only facilitated the project’s objectives but also ensured sustainability through skill transfer and empowerment. The local engineers, equipped with new expertise, carried out water leak detection independently, showcasing the project’s impact on enhancing local technical capabilities.

Venue Las Vegas Convention Center (Las Vegas, USA)

Organized by CTA(Consumer Technology Association)

WI.Plat, honored with the CES 2023 Innovation Award for its Intelligent Water Loss Management System, NELOW Ver 2, once again collaborated with K-water to participate in the CES2024 exhibition alongside other companies in the Korean water industry.

CES 2024, organized by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), is the world’s largest showcase of innovative digital technology.

At CES 2024, WI.Plat introduced its new water leak sensor, Sonic GL, released in June 2023. Sonic GL goes beyond the capabilities of the previous Sonic M1 sensor, enabling precise leak detection in water supply facilities and surfaces by using magnetic parts and a patented sensor.

One of the key advantages of WI.Plat’s water leak sensor equipment, Sonic GL, is its integration with the NELOW smartphone app, allowing even any users to conduct water leak detection activities by referencing manuals. Furthermore, the app collects leak sound data and utilizes the AI model on the NELOW software server to determine the leaks existence.

Since 2023, WI.Plat has been conducting market research for entry into the North American market. Participation in CES2024 provided an excellent opportunity to meet potential customers from local industry experts on WI.Plat’s NELOW solution, reaffirming the potential for entry into the North American market in 2024.

WI.Plat expresses gratitude to K-water for jointly operating the booth with leading companies in the water industry.

We will continue to strive forward until the day we solve the global water leakage issue!
